About Faru

Since its inception in 1986, FARU has been committed to creating a showplace that mixes ancient and contemporary artifacts from the Americas, Africa, Asia and Europe. We carry extraordinary textiles, pottery, lacquerware, glassware and masks; uniquely designed jewelry; beautiful beads; an assortment of baskets; Zuni fetishes; and a host of irresistible things.

FARU's mission is to introduce people to other cultures through indigenous arts and crafts from around the world.

FARU believes that it can make a difference in supporting cottage industries and artisans from around the world.
